    Pye/Philips PFX Handheld, 2m Band

    Six chips suitable for all A- & B-band (high-band) sets.
    PFX sets can be fitted with a 16- or 18-pin chip; 16-pin chips allow a maximum of 32 channels, 18-pin chips can hold up to 99 channels. PFX sets fitted with a 16-pin chip require two solder pad links to be opened to allow the use of an 18-pin chip - we provide full instructions with all our PFX chips.

    Storno CQM 5112/3/4S, 2m Band

    One 12-channel chip for unmodified 12-channel sets and two 100-channel chips for single-channel/12-channel sets modified with a 00-99 thumbwheel channel selector, reverse repeater switch and an EPROM adaptor board (see the April '96 edition of Ham Radio Today for modification details).
    Note that 46.9333/43.3666MHz TX/RX crystals are required for all three chips (custom programmed chips can be supplied for alternative TX/RX crystals).
